city waste...

some guys from the municipal authority come around and pay attention to old unused bike ruins like this one, pretty much found everywhere if you take a look left or right from time to time. they will delete it if the owner don´t remove it from the street.

how can you just forget a locked bike?

handmade bags/stuff berlin

spotted in Berlin from a brand called Fahrer

marc´o polo is into fixed gear

spotted in Berlin
ohhh marco´o polo is into fixed gear, no further comments!!!

bamboo bike

this is a bike build out of bamboo - hell yes what a funny idea, there are different build - yes its quit ugly, no nice steel lugs or chrome parts, each bamboo bike is custom and was part of a promotion within a drug store chain in Berlin for regrowing resources

leafcycles gipsy

i didnt took notice of the leafcycles gipsy frame until today. i thought it was just another bmx brand jumping on the fixed gear trend. and maybe i am right but i have to admit - i really like the look of the bikes in that video. so check it and form your own opinion.

bicycle lightning in germany

for those of you who doesnt already know, germany has certainly one of the most stupid regulations for the use of lights on bicycles. all bikes have to use a bicycle dynamo instead of "road bikes" under a weight of 11 kilograms - they are allowed to use batterie powered lights. a "road bike" is defined by its dropbar and it´s weight. all other bikes, even if they are also under 11kg, have to use a dynamo. so how dumb is that?! this satirical video from the tv programme extra 3 discusses this problem.

Copenhagen Parts Bike Porter

ever thought of a basket on your fixed gear? i did :) so here´s a quite cool solution for people thinking about that. copenhagen parts made a riser bar with an integrated basket called "bike porter" - awesomeness!

it spreads and spreads...

even ALDI advertises its crap with the singlespeed/fxd/track trend.

Cinelli Laser overview

...old news is that Cinelli is going to reissue the Cinelli Laser in a limited quantity.
When???
How many???
How much is the price???
What sizes???
What material???
What fork???

I dont know - if anyone does: hook me up with that infos!

...but there is nothing like THE Cinelli Laser. There are many different designs of THE Laser - so the question might be which one are they going to rerelease??? In addition to that Cinelli uses different forks on the laser models!

Here is the geo of the supposed 2011 or 2012 reissue?

...this is what I found via searchengine including the 2011 edition this makes 16 different Cinelli Laser constructions!

Cinelli Laser 2011 Reissue

these are the past models (maybe incomplete!!!):

Cinelli Laser Pista

Cinelli Laser Pista with chain stray protection

Cinelli Laser Air for Italian National Pursuit Team

Cinelli Laser USSR National Team

Cinelli Laser 1985 Laser project (no real name found on that one)

Cinelli Laser Keith Haring 1987

Cinelli Laser Pursuit (different stem construction than the Cinelli 1985 Laser project)

Cinelli Air but with different back strays in the hands of Andrea Pesenti (the guy on his knees)

Laser Rivoluzione Pista

Cinelli Laser America

Laser Crono Squadra

Laser America Max

Cinelli Laser "Fully Aerondinamic Bicycle" - this one looks to me like the America but with integrated rearbrake and a typo in aerodYnamic

1985 Laser Carbon

Cinelli Steher

most of the pictures are from cinellionly.blogspot.com and fixedgearbikes.blogspot.com

Skid Proof Tube?

surely heavy as f*** but maybe worth a try? i am sceptical...

description:

"This heavy duty tube is just the ticket for urban skid monsters; once you burn through the tire casing and get through the threads, you still have a little life to get home. Thicker rubber on the contact area of the tube gives you just enough extra security to reach for another tube… rather than skidding immediately to a spooky stop."

seen today

at a local supermarket in leipzig. i mentioned before that i am not really a fan of conversions but this bike is quite nice. i had no time to figure out the manufacturer of the frame (columbus tubing) but it looked italian. miche pistard wheelset, sugino rd-2 with messenger chainring (assembled on the innerside of the crank - maybe a chainline issue), selle italia flite. looks fun to ride with.

LEGEN..... DARY!

malaysian cyclist azizulhasni awang got in a crash, managed to get back on saddle and finished winning bronze with a 20cm splinter in his leg. so how badass is that!?

fixed-gears and cro-mags

what a great mixture! :) so grab your ipod and listen to the best wishes album!

Cinelli Mash

there are quite a few mashs out there these days and often they look pretty equal. and in terms of parts (HED, h-son, thomson...) this mash lines up to many other mashs apart from that his owner has stripped down the paint and came up with his own decals including star wars characters (which i totally dig!!). it looks familiar and different at the same time and way better than the original color scheme. nice work man - really inspiring!
