How To Ride A Bicycle

hey fellows. it´s been a while since our last posting. we are pretty busy at the moment so the blog doesn´t get the attention it should. so be patient with us - we´ll return after july with new stuff.

for now enjoy this. it´s bit older but i couldn´t stop laughing while watching it.

LIFECYCLE

"Last year, Red Peak Branding conducted a unique urban experiment for Hudson Urban Bicycles. On January 1, 2011 we chained a fully loaded bike - bells, basket, lights and more - to a post along a busy Soho street. We took a picture of the bike everyday for 365 days, watching it slowly vanish before our eyes. The photos we took were then turned into a daily calendar. We call this project LIFECYCLE: 365 days in the life of a bike in NYC."

That´s pretty what happens to a bike you lock somewhere and stop caring about. I am sure this´ll happen the exact way in every other city in the world not just in New York. So hmm i don´t really know what this video is about except wasting a bike and a pretty expensive krypto lock. But look for yourself.

Do what you love.

This is called Holstee Manifesto. I have no clue what Holstee is, wants or should be except the messages of the video but you should watch it it´s kinda nice. For more info go to vimeo.

Hiplock

when it comes down to locks i usually trust only the "big-ones" and with that i mean big names and big locks as well. the last thing you should save money at is the lock. i never heard of "hiplocks" before have you? they cost around 70-90 € which is as much as you pay for the big names. i think i´ll stick to my krypto chain as long as this fits around my hips^^

The use of space

i don´t really want to complain about the current weather as we could have lots of snow at this time of the year but it´s been raining for three days now:/ i just stumbled over this sunshine video from portugal. i really wish to ride my new whip there now... though the bike in the clip isn´t really a beauty it still transports the fun with fixed gear on a perfect weather day.
may the spring come soon and bring us back t-shirts on bike rides.

BÖIKZMÖIND - A Fixed Gear Bike is...

I don´t know what you think about all these fixed-gear documentaries out there. And i don´t mean films in which people are actually riding their bikes i still enjoy watching these - i mean films in which people are talking about riding fixed-gears. I am so bored of them - it´s like i already heard every word, every sentence of the people in these films. Yeah, we know what a fixed-gear is and there are a lot of wrong and right myths about it. Yes there are laws that sometimes make it difficult riding a fixie. Yes there are people out not giving a shitpile of commitment to the subject of riding a fixed-gear and therefore aren´t able to handle their bikes properly. But how often do we need to hear that? It´s been several years since the first fixed related films came out and repeating the same phrases haven´t helped so far. Today i found this british fixed-gear documentary. I don´t know how this is like but according to it´s trailer there isn´t much new to expect.
We all love our fixies - more ridin´ - less talkin´!

NO CASSETTES Full Movie

i really wonder why i haven´t found that earlier!? as the fixed gear movie dvds are mostly well priced here you have a chance to get some free stuff. it´s a bit older and has more "classic" fixed gear riding and trixin in it as best known from macaframa and mash. but since the trickster scene has spread that much and the bikes have changed into big fixed wheeled bmx bikes this movie shows some real track-/tarckbikes and thats pretty seldom in these days. the closing credits are the best! watch it!
